Your teen may think, “Everyone is doing it.” The truth? Most teens are not.
💡 When teens believe substance use is common, they may be more likely to experiment. And, teens often overestimate how many of their peers use substances.
📣 Parents: share factual information, and help your teen gain a clearer understanding of what is actually normal among their peers. Knowing that MOST students choose NOT to use substances can strengthen your teen’s confidence to make healthy choices.
