My Vision for Wells ISD: Together, We can #beBETTER

My goal for Wells ISD is to build on the strong foundation we've established in recent years and continue to grow a school culture rooted in excellence, opportunity, and belonging. I want every student who walks through our doors to feel seen, supported, and prepared—not just to graduate, but to thrive in the world beyond our walls.

We are deeply committed to offering a well-rounded, high-quality education that rivals that of larger districts, while preserving the unique benefits of our small, rural setting. In Wells ISD, students don’t get lost in the crowd—they grow up in a community that knows their name, believes in their potential, and surrounds them with encouragement.

Our aim is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed—whether their next step is college, a career, or service in the military. From PreK through 12th grade, we are focused on developing future-ready graduates who are not only academically prepared but also emotionally resilient, socially responsible, and grounded in strong character.

But we can't do it alone.

Achieving this vision requires a collective effort. It takes dedicated educators, engaged families, inspired students, and a community that stands behind its schools. By working together and holding ourselves to a higher standard, we can #beBETTER—not just in academics, but in how we support one another, how we lead, and how we live out our values every day.

Together, let’s keep pushing forward—with purpose, with passion, and with the shared belief that our best work is still ahead.
