Dyslexia Interventionist/RTI/Testing Coordinator
I attended Nacogdoches High School and graduated in 1997. I then went to SFASU and decided to persue a career in teaching. I graduated from SFASU in 2001 with a BS in Interdisciplinary studies with a major in Reading/ELA.
BSIS in Elementary Education Reading/ELA
Dyslexia Neuhaus and Reading By Design
I am currently participating in the Texas Reading Academy, Texas Dyslexia Course, Reading By Design and Neuhaus online update courses.
This will be my 19th year as an elementary teacher. This is my 2nd year as a Dyslexia Interventionist/RTI teacher.
I am married to Joe Tarrant and we have 2 growing boys, Bronson(11) and Slade(8). Both boys are attending Wells this year. We have a family dog, a Great Dane named Hera, and my oldest son has two hunting dogs, Sarg and Dude.
I enjoy teaching kids and watching them learn new things. It seems that they teach me just as much as I teach them. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, organizing, reading, and taking much needed NAPS.
